1 Yellow Wagtail, fem + 4 juv Tufted Duck, 1 Curlew, 23 Coot incl ca. 10 juvs.

2 Common Tern, 4 Lapwing, 4 Snipe including one drumming for ages, 3 Yellow Wagtail. 7.30 pm.

Barn Owl (1) stood in the middle of the lane at 23.00 hrs. Luckily a narrow lane so driving slowly and we stopped and waited for it to fly. It seemed at least a minute or two before the bird flew off. We thought we might have dazzled it so we turned off the headlights and it still just sat there. No doubt over ID

Family party each of Green Woodpecker, Jay(2), Raven, Coal Tits, Willow Warbler, Whitethroat. Also 2 Crossbill, 2 LBBGull, Sp Flycatcher, several Buzzard incl young heard. 3 Weasel head-to-tail across road at Trecastle bridge.

A male Cuckoo in flight - nice to see as most adult Cuckoo will be leaving about now.

Pair + 2 large juvenile Gt Crested Grebe, and 3 adult/5 juvenile Canada Geese (juvs now hardly discernible from the adults).
