I saw and took a record photograph of an immature Golden Eagle yesterday at a location in the North West of the county, I will not give a specific location because of the possiblity of concerns with farmers and lambs. This could be the Eagle reported on the Radnor Bird Blog a week or so ago but identified from distance as a Sea Eagle, in the likely event that this is the same bird, it could perhaps have been (and may well be) in the area for a while, hence my concern outlined above. I understand that this is the first record since one was shot near Brecon around 1859. Andrew King has been informed.
