1 siskin, 1 yellowhammer, colored dove x 3. goldfinch x 1. nuthatch x 1

8 Crossbill over the forestry at 11:30 this morning, also plenty of siskin, 4 redpoll.

9 Goosanders (3 drakes and 6 redheads), 1 Little Grebe and 2 Kingfisher. Also 1 Dipper, 1 Grey Wag, 4 Grey Heron 101 BH and 1 LBB Gull. A group of 9 Magpies were at the back of Penmaes School.

10 LT Tit and a treecreeper in scrub on old town wall behind Brecon Tax Office - better than the usual bunch of vultures that hang aroung the place.

Two Bullfinch and a Sparrowhawk along a narrow lane north of Llanbedr - justin case records from this neck of the county are uncommon.

115 Golden Plover on pipeline near trig point. Also single Kestrel and 2 Red Kite.

Good find by Mark/Mike today - Kittiwake. 19th County record, mostly singles at scattered locations in Jan-May period. Often after westerly storms, some needing TLC in exhausted state or even burial.

Adult Kittiwake on Llangasty side all afternoon. Good views of it resting on the spit as well as on the water in front of the carpark.

Not a sighting but something that may be of interest. I will update the ringing page with wild bird rings found with metal detectors by members of the South Wales Peregrine Monitoring Group at Peregrine eyries within Breconshire. This is part of an on-going 25 year study of the breeding ecology of Peregrine within our South-Central Wales study area.
