250 wintering thrushes, 80/20 split between Fieldfare/Redwing in a field between Llanddew and Llaneglwys, they've been in that field in varying numbers since October. Further on a flock of about 100 Siskins in the conifer plantation (Brycheiniog) also about twenty Crossbills coming to drink from a small but deep pool on the trackside, however, quite flighty. I suspect in the same area as Mark's photo.

Male and female goosander regularly on canal at Llangynidr over the last week and very tolerant of all the people and dogs that walk by. 6 greenfinch on feeder today is probably best count I have had in my garden for about three years.
