Mute Swan Llangasty, Llangorse Lake 04.09.22 Mark Waldron Blue 7LCB Ringed XY6052 at Llandrindod Wells Lake as a cygnet on 11th December 2020.
Great Black-Backed Gull Llangorse Lake, Llangasty 03.08.22 Mark Waldron Yellow "D:JZ" and "D:JY" Two juv's together with an adult on the point. Both birds were ringed by the Goldcliff Ringing Group as juveniles on nest this year (12 June) at Denny Island (Monmouthshire) in the Bristol Channel. These sightings are the first since the birds dispersed from Denny Island.
Lesser Black-backed Gull Llangorse Lake, Llangasty 22.07.22 Mark Waldron Blue "F:800". Part of the flatholm scheme from 2019, ring FJ14345, where it was ringed as a juv on 30/06/2019. This is the first report since.
Barnacle Goose Llangorse Lake 20/07/22 Mark Waldron All blue combinations from B01 to B46 EXCEPT B08, B16, B20, B35 & B42. B42 is now the only bird I've not yet recorded...  
Mute Swan Llangorse Lake, Llangasty 26/06/22 Mark Waldron Blue 7JHT Ringed ZY9980 as a cygnet (male, one of six) on 21st August 2020 on the Montgomery Canal at Wern, Llanymynech. It was still present where ringed on 28th November 2020.

Curlew LLangorse Lake on the 'point' 20/04/22 Peter Seaman Curlew with orange ring on left leg and ring 18 on right was one of pair on the 'point'. Interesting previous history copied below from Mark's record made on 19th March 2021 "Back for at least its fourth spring. It was ringed (BTO FJ06156) at the Gann Estuary, Dale, Pembrokeshire on 20 Jan 2018 as an adult male. Full ring history as follows: 20/01/2018 Gann, Pembrokeshire, 09/03/2019 - 13/03/2019 Llangorse Lake, 31/12/2019 - 03/02/2020 Gann, Pembrokeshire, 29/02/2020 - 07/03/2020 Llangorse Lake, 06/11/2020 - 08/02/2021 Gann, Pembrokeshire. And now 20/04/22.
Canada Goose Llangorse Lake 10.04.22 Mark Waldron 5275712 Ringed at Llangorse Lake 28.06.15.
Barnacle Goose Llangorse Lake 10.04.22 Mark Waldron B01, B03, B06, B08, B09, B10, B12, B13, B18, B19, B20, B21, B22, B24, B25, B26, B27, B29, B30, B32, B35, B36, B39, B40, B44 & B46. Pairs appeared to be B01 + B19, B03 + B46, B08 + B22, B09 + B13, B10 + B18, B12 + unringed, B20 + B27, B21 + unringed, B24 + B26, B29 + B36, B32 + B40 and B35 + B44. At least three nests now occupied on the crannog with another two fully built.
Barnacle Goose Llangorse Lake 06.04.22 Mark Waldron B01, B03, B04, B06, B19, B20, B27, B38, B45 & B46 Pairs appear to be B03 & B46, B01 & B19, B20 & B27 and B45 with an unringed bird.
Red Kite Libanus 05.04.22 Mark Waldron Black left tag, blue right tag, "85". Metal ring number GC95713. BTO reports this bird was ringed as a nestling on 24/06/2010 near Sennybridge that summered around the area last year.
Curlew Llanddew 03/04/22 Andrew King Yellow ring above knee/BTO metal ring below; other leg white colour-ring looked like C_. Does not match any rings previously read in Brecknock. Probable male of a potential breeding pair in that area.

Curlew Brechfa Pool 21/03/22 Andrew King Orange ring lower left leg/BTO metal ring lower rt leg. Above that, what I noted as 3E black c/r with white inscription. One of 6 birds, incl fine display and calling among several males present. May be intending to breed close by; cf note below of possibly the same bird's history when reported at LL on 23/03/20.
