Female Cuckoo
Very shy and beautifully rufous bird that only appeared very early on before the light had improved. She's probably/hopefully laid her eggs and is not interested now. She only came out after being pursued by a male Cuckoo.

At a new site (on private land) that has huge potential. I was in a portable hide and under lots of camo netting at first light yesterday morning in dense fog, but it was worth the wait for the sun to burn off the gloom because later I was privileged to have these shy birds perching thirty feet away from my hide.
