26 Crossbill feeding on conifer near Nant yr Odin, also 7 Ltt in Birch nearby.

Peregrine flying over the Usk near Llangynidr Bridge looking for a meal. Also lots of fieldfare activity, many flocks of 8-12 birds feeding and flying.

3 Goosander and a moultig male, male Sparrowhawk, 2 Dipper (1 in song), 2 Grey Wagtail, 3 Grey Heron (Yellow wing-tagged 'BC' adult present), Buzzard, 2 LBB and 139 BH Gull, 43 Mallard and 4 Moorhen.

Travelling the road again, there was the GGShrike on the same roadside clearfell as before. No sign at revisit at 3.30pm, but 2 Crossbills calling.

From hide - thanks to BBNP for cutting reeds. Excellent views of 3 WRail in cut strip. 2 Cettis Warbler in song well left of hide and possibly two other birds (females?)heard by contact trills went across cut strip towards wood. Also 22 female Goldeneye, 39 Cormorant, 4 Shoveler, 6 Wigeon.
