WOS Conference mentioned below is not on 9 November but on Sat 6 November, the same day as Brecknock Wildlife Trust AGM at Subud Hall, Brecon, details on BWT website - a pity they clash.

One Black Tern. Among the horses on Llangorse Common and sheep in next field, 10 Yellow Wagtails and about 90 Pied.

Whinchat, 5 Stonechat, 3 meadow Pipit on the last fence. Green woodpecker, 2 Redstart and 23 Mistle thrush. All near Ty Segur

Female or juvenile Hen Harrier seen. Brown upper parts with distinctive white rump showing.

Between the showers 9 Black and 5 Common Tern toward the Crannog, 2 Wigeon, 1 female Gadwall, 8 Teal, 22 Tufted, 1 GBB Gull, a Kingfisher on the car park railings, 2 Sedge Warbler and a Wheatear. All birds still present at 14.40.

A walk around the lake turned up a Hobby, 2 Whinchat, 4 Yellow Wagtail with the cattle and a Snipe. On the lake a pair of Pochard, 14 Tufted, 11 Teal, 81 Coot, 128 Mute Swan, 1 GBB Gull and 13 Cormorant.

Looks like quite a few have enjoyed the tern passage at the lake today. I was joined by Andrew mid afternoon when we had 1 Little, 1 Black and 13 Common Tern. Then took my son to the other side to feed the ducks where 73 Pied Wagtail were feeding. A quick visit to Brecfa Pool turned up 53 Teal.
