At Llangasty 2 Common Gull were flushed from the point by a female Goshawk. A House Martin was around the next field and 100+ Sand Martin were feeding over the water. 2 Little Ringed Plover and 2 White Wagtail were on the sailing club meadow. A third white wagtail was at the crannog from where 50 Teal were seen to flush from the sailing club meadow on to the lake in front of the hide. A drake Garganey was with them and may have been with a female, but even with scope views across the lake it was hard to be sure. Also 4 drake Pintail.

Entry added by: M&W Evans on Wed 10th April 19, 04:50pm Sighting location: Lower Llangynidr. Sighting date: 10/04/19
First swallow over the house at 12.00 on the same day as a visit by a Redpoll and 2 willow warblers. Haven't had a Redpoll in the garden since winter 2017/18. Usually only appear after several consecutive hard frosts. Still many Goldies and Siskins taking seed. Male Sparrowhawk makes a pass every 40 minutes or so. Having us in the garden must be very frustrating for him. 4 Buzzard and a Kite over the Usk towards Crickhowell.
