3 grey or pinkfeet flew up river ,couldn't tell which as sillouets but calling to my garden goose.

2.30pm. Brief visit found 6 L Egret and 1 Gt Egret together, L Grebe heard trilling, Kingfisher flew up Llynfi and a Snipe flushed from Juncus on the Common.

1 juvenile Goshawk attempting to hunt in reedbed, then perched giving good scope views. 1 Great Egret, 4 Little Egret.

Pair of Stonechats near car park, pair of Scaup off Hide with 15 Pintail, 39 Shoveler etc. 14 Lapwings flying around, one Great and 3 Little Egrets, Iceland Gull.

WeBs count today gave a Jack Snipe and 55 Common Snipe. 4 Skylark were back in the count area with one giving a little sub song. A Crossbill was singing from the top of a shelter belt.

A walk around the trails of Garwnant visitor center produced 1 peregrine Falcon, 1 Kestrel, a calling Green Woodpecker, singing Crossbills and Siskin, and the comical site of a G.S.Woodpecker in flight with a large cedar cone, nearby at the Brecon beacons visitor center a Common Snipe also 1 Grey Wagtail

Evening visit.1 Iceland Gull that came in really late, 2 Yellow-legged gull,11 Pintail,2 Scaup and 2 Great White Egret.

A look at the roost this evening gave the Iceland Gull, YL Gull, 3 Common Gull and 105 Herring Gull. The pair of Scaup were together. This morning there were 3 very friendly Call Ducks in with the Mallards at Brecon Canal Basin along with the Blue 7CTJ Mute Swan pair.

The B&R mentions a Saker/Gyr falcon escaped near Storey Arms, could well be the bird reported by John Davies yesterday.

Ringtail Hen Harrier appeared over Point Field flood spooking 9 Snipe, 2 LEgrets, 50 Wigeon, 7 Pintail - mayhem! It flew west along the reedbeds, shortly after a Peregrine and Sp Hawk appeared. Most of the large gulls roosting down beyond the Point so unable to confirm Iceland Gull. 900 BH Gulls.
