(Probable female) Peregrine on the castellated tower at lunchtime. The rumours about the illegal killing of a Peregrine locally was based on unsubstantiated 'pubtalk'. Two adults have been seen on the Church since then. S Wales Peregrine Monitoring Gp have not identified a missing adult from any of the local breeding sites.

damage to stained glass window in Llangorse lake birdhide. it appears to me that the small holes were caused by someone firing an air rifle, possibly from the approach walkway, through the open door. Sad and pathetic.

Good views of Peregrine on the church tower this afternoon . Saw a post on here previously mentioning the demise of one of the pair - was there any truth in this ?

I walked over to the 'new' bird hide at the lake today and was somewhat dismayed to find that somebody has damaged the lovely stained glass window. Several holes have been made in the glass and other fractures are also apparent. The damage was presumably caused by a sharp object. I don't know if this damage has occurred recently or if people are already aware of it. (Whatever the time frame it was a shock to me)!! It's hard to imagine what makes people act in this way, to label them a moron is an insult to morons. I'm sure there's a psychologist somewhere that could offer up an explation for this behaviour but quite frankly it's beyond me.
